What is Reiki?

Reiki is spiritually guided life energy, an energy medicine that channels divine energy.  It is divine love and light.  It is primarily a meditative process where the practitioner creates an energetic space and invites the highest vibration of love, light, compassion and wisdom to come and deliver whatever the recipient needs and is open to receiving at that moment in time.  It is a gentle, non-invasive healing modality.  Reiki reduces stress, relieves pain and deepens relaxation.   It increases energy, vitality and stimulates the body’s own healing capacity. Reiki guides itself with its own wisdom.  It is a source of profound knowledge and understanding.  It is limitless and can heal throughout time and space. 
 
Reiki as a word: means spiritual energy.
Reiki as a system: is a meditative, compassionate, spiritual practice. 
Reiki as a practice: is a way of life working towards enlightenment.
